Sean White, Principal, Aloft Strategies

Sean began operating independently as Aloft Strategies in the spring of 2011 after departing Indianapolis based Public Relations   and Advertising Firm Caldwell VanRiper.

As Senior Public Affairs Account Supervisor at Caldwell VanRiper, Sean helped drive the agency’s community outreach, stakeholder engagement and government relations activities. Sean was a key player in the Indy Connect transportation initiative, leading the initiative’s public meeting strategy, speaker’s bureau, social media, and other community outreach activities.  Indy Connect is an award winning public outreach initiative, having won 3 ADDY awards, recognition from the Federal Highway and Transit Administrations, and the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Sean also managed the community outreach and stakeholder engagement for LandINSight, the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s land use planning initiative as well as the Airport Authority’s initiative to bring new air service to the region.  An instrument rated private pilot himself, Sean has specific interest and expertise in the aviation industry.

Sean went to Caldwell after having been the lead staff member for the Central Indiana Transit Task Force, a private sector-led study of transit and transportation in Central Indiana funded by the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Indiana Community Foundation. There, Sean coordinated the study process, working daily with high-profile local business and civic leaders, a team of consultants and coordinating with local governmental entities. He also managed the engagement of 15 local CEOs serving on the Task Force.

Prior to his work with the Task Force, Sean worked in Washington, D.C., most recently for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as Special Assistant to the Secretary. During his time in Washington, Sean also worked for the U.S. Small Business Administration and at The White House. He is a graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in Business, Economics and Public Policy.

In addition to his day job, Sean is an active member of the local community.  He volunteers on two committees in support of the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis, serving on the Transportation and Parking Committee as well as the Aviation Services Committee.  Sean is also Commander of the Clinton County Senior Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.  He is active in leadership roles at his local church, and spends a great deal of time with his wife and two young daughters at their home near Zionsville.
